Equality, Diversity and Inclusion

Our voluntary statement setting out our commitment to equality, fair treatment and inclusive professional practice across our services and workplace.

This voluntary statement sets out our commitment to equality, diversity and inclusion across our business and medical services.  We aim to provide a working environment and service culture in which every person is treated with dignity, courtesy and respect, and in which unlawful discrimination, harassment, victimisation and bullying are not tolerated.  This notice applies to our dealings with staff, workers, patients, clients, contractors, visitors and anyone else who engages with the organisation.

Equal Treatment and Opportunity

We are committed to fair and inclusive treatment in recruitment, engagement, development, promotion, training, service delivery and day-to-day working practices.  Decisions will be based on relevant skills, experience, qualifications, conduct, business needs and professional requirements rather than on protected characteristics or any other irrelevant factor.

Respect and Inclusion

We expect all staff and representatives of the organisation to contribute to a respectful, inclusive and professional environment.  We seek to recognise and value different backgrounds and needs, and to make reasonable adjustments where required so that people are not placed at a substantial disadvantage.

Discrimination, Harassment and Victimisation

We do not tolerate direct or indirect discrimination, harassment, victimisation or any other conduct that undermines equality, dignity or inclusion.  Concerns of this kind will be taken seriously, considered promptly and addressed through appropriate management, governance or disciplinary processes.

Accessibility and Fair Practice

We aim to make our services, communications and working practices as accessible and inclusive as reasonably possible.  We will keep our arrangements under review so that barriers to participation, access or progression can be identified and reduced where practicable and lawful to do so.
